Armstrong, of Belding, died Sunday morning in Muston Convalescent home, Belding. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Belding. Mrs. Armstrong had been a Belding resident for 40 years. She was a member of the Washington club. Surviving are one son, Mac, with the medical corps at Camp Grant, Ill.; one brother, Peter MacFarland of Big Rapids, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Campbell and Mrs. Maude Mickle of Big Rapids, and one grandchild. ------------ Mrs. Lena Armstrong, aged 67 years, widow of the late Dr. J.H. Armstrong, long time resident of this city, passed away at the Muston convalescent home on Ionia street, Sunday morning, following a long period of ill health. Mrs. Armstrong was the former Lena MacFarland. She was born at Paris, this state, and came to Belding as a young lady, holding a position in the old Richardson mill office for many years. She was married to Dr. J.H. Armstrong and to this union was born one son, Mac, now with the army medical corps at Camp Grant. Other survivors are a step-son, Dr. Robert Armstrong of Kalamazoo, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert Symmons of St. Johns; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Campbell and Mrs. Maude Mickle, and a brother, Peter MacFarland, all of Big Rapids. Mrs. Armstrong had been in poor health for a long time and both prior to and following the death of her husband some months ago she had been cared for in Kalamazoo and later on was brought to the city to be cared for at the Muston home. She was a member of the Washington club of this city and has a host of friends here who will regret to learn of her passing. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Fitzjohn Funeral home with Rev. Henry Rust, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating, and burial was in River Ridge cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Lambertson, George E. Wagner, Herman Salzman, Martin Smith, Glenn E.
