Lake Odessa Wave
   FINAL RITES FOR ENA ARMSTRONG
  Ena T. armstrong, age 85, of 2751 Huddle Road, Lake Odessa, passed away Monday,
February 6 at the 
Provincial House where she had been a patient for three weeks.  She was born in
Mineral Point, Wisconsin on 
September 12, 1892, the daughter of Alonzo and Lena (Solms) Jacks.
  In 1916 she married Matt Armstrong in Detroit.  He passed away November 3, 1969.
Mrs. Armstrong taught 
school from 1914 until retiring in 1962.  She taught for 41 years in the Lake Odessa
Community.
  She was a member of the MEA, National Retired Teachers Association, the Montcalm -
Ionia Retired 
Teachers Group, the Lake Odessa Historical Society, Grand Marshall of the Lake
Odessa Fair-1973, Lake 
Odessa Woman Club, a member of Central United Methodist Church and United Methodist
Women.
  Mrs. Armstrong is survive by one son, Maurice of Lake Odessa; two grand sons; and
two brothers, Alonzo 
Jacks of Beloit, Wisconsin and Stanway of San Antonio, Texas.
  Services were held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Pickens - Koops Funeral Chapel in
Lake Odessa with Rev. 
William Hertel officiating.  Interment in Lakeside Cemetery.  Memorial contributions
may be made to The 
Central United Methodist Church.
