THE IONIA SENTINEL, MICH.; December 16, 1886: "Mrs. Dr. H. R. Arndt, formerly of
this city, died at her home in Ann Arbor on Tuesday. Dr. Arndt removed from
Grand Rapids to Ann Arbor last year to accept a professorship in the homeopathic
department of the university. Mrs. Arndt had been a great suffereer from an
incurable disease for a long time and had been confined to her bed for over a
year."
