Ionia Sentinel Standard, 22 Apr 1929

Marion Arnold, 64, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nelson, three and
one-half miles northeast of Muir Sunday morning after one year’s illness of
cancer.  Mrs. Arnold was a native of Ohio, but he was a resident of Grand Rapids
until last fall when he and Mrs. Arnold came to Muir to live with Mrs. Nelson. 
The wife and son are his only survivors.

The funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Nelson, known as the Henry
VanderVeen farm, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  The interment will be in the
Muir cemetery.  D.R. Blaske will be in charge.
