Lake Odessa Wave, 13 Feb 1925

A. C. Arnold was born in Canada, January 13, 1839 and departed this life on
January 27, 1925, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rose Mills at the age of
eighty-six years and thirteen days.

He was united in marriage to Rosette Furgason, December 15, 1864, who preceded
him to the great beyond July 1st, 1902.  To this union were born seven children,
William E. of Sebewa, Mrs. Annie B. Merritt of Sebewa, Wilber J. of Garretson,
South Dakota, Mrs. Rose M. Mills of Sebewa, Mrs. Edna E. Bippley of Odessa, Bert
E. of Wisconsin and Eddie E., who departed this life in infancy.

He was a kind and loving father, and loved by all who knew him.  He will be
greatly missed in his home.  

He died at peace believing in the Lord, who doeth all things will.

Here the dearest of ties we must sever,  Tears of sorrow are seen every day, 
But no sickness, no sighing forever,  When we have gone the last mile of the
way.  We will rest at the close of the day,  For I know there are joys that
await us.  When we’ve gone the last mile of the way.

He leaves to mourn their loss six children, two brothers and a host of relatives
and friends.
