The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, April 8, 1926


Sylvester Arntz, aged 86, passed away Wednesday morning at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. James Steadman, in Palo.  Mrs. Arntz died last July at the 
Steadman cottage at Long lake, following a stroke.  Mr. Arntz was a member of 
the Carson City lodge, F. & A. M., and the Knights Templar at Ithaca.  The 
Carson City lodge, F. & A. M., will be in charge of the funeral Sunday.

He is survived by three children, Mrs. James Steadman of Palo; Henry Arntz, of 
Carson City; and Sherman Arntz, of Sheridan.  The funeral will be held from the 
home of Mr. and Mrs. Steadman Sunday afternoon at 2:30, and from the Palo 
Baptist church at 3 o’clock, Eastern time.  Rev. Potter will officiate.  The 
burial will take place in the family lot at Vickeryville.
