Ionia Sentinel Standard, 9 Dec 1987

Estee Arntz, 84, of Ionia died Dec. 7, at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  He
was born May 12, 1903, in Orange Township, the son of Samuel and Myra (Terry)
Arntz.  He married Beatrice Blough June 30, 1924, in Ionia.  He worked as a
machinist for A.C. Smith, retiring in 1968.  He was a member of the Zion
Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Lois Croel of Dimondale, Betty
Neustifter of Rowlett, Texas, Ella Mae Vogt of Royal Oak, and Donna Landon of
Bath; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in
death by his sister, Nellie Elizabeth, in 1938.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Rich St. Chapel of
Cook Funeral Home with the Rev. William Dornbush officiating.  Burial will be in
Highland Park Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 2
p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Memorials have been established for the
Arthritis Foundation or to the Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home.
