Sentinel-Std. - Wednesday, July 18, 1979

The following obituary is appearing again in order to correct incorrect 
information to the funeral home. 

Ray Asbury, 57, 5520 David Highway, Saranac, died Sunday at Butterworth 
Hospital in Grand Rapids.

He was born Oct. 4, 1921, to Hugh and Josephine Marrs Asbury. 

He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Ionia Church of the 
Nazarene.

He worked at the Michigan Reformatory. 

On Feb. 11, 1946 he married Louise Horn.

Survivors include two sons, Arnold of Milan and Terry of Ionia; one 
daughter, Mrs. Roy (Faye) Davis of Lowell; four brothers, Alfred of New 
Jersey, Randall of Kentucky, Alex of Virginia and Hugh of California; three 
sisters, Sarah Dawson of West Virginia, Bertha Nelson of West Virginia and 
Dolora Smith of Virginia; five granddaughters and two grandsons. 

Funeral services were held at the Ionia Church of the Nazarene Wednesday at 
11 a.m.

Burial was in the Saranac Cemetery.
