Ionia Sentinel Standard Thurs. July 19, 1945

Jennie Sarah Ashby, 44, died in the Ionia County Memorial hospital at 8 p.m.
Wednesday.
Born near Orleans, January 21, 1901, she was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar
R. Ashley. She lived her entire life in and near Ionia and attended the Ionia schools.
She was graduated from the Ionia high school with the class of 1919.  In 1934 she was
graduated from the Lansing Business university and held various  state and county positions.
She was a member of the Methodist church in Ionia and a member of Order of Eastern
Star.
Funeral services will be held from the Myers funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m.
