Michelle Rene Ashcraft, 29, of Ionia, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at
the home of her parents in Ionia.  She was born on April 4, 1975 in Covington,
Ky., the daughter of James and Josephine Foster Ashcraft.

Michelle graduated from Ionia High School, lettering in chorale.  She enjoyed
writing poetry and recently won first place in a poetry contest.  Michelle’s
generosity and love of children will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  She
bravely battled colon cancer for the past three years.  Thank you Michelle for
sharing the “true you” with all of us.

Michelle is survived by her parents; siblings, Marie, Izabella, Isaiah Ashcraft;
and her nieces, Hannah and Adriana Ashcraft.

Funeral and committal services are 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral
Home, Belding, with Pastor Karl Tsatalbasidis of the Seventh Day Adventist
Church, Greenville-Ionia officiating.  Interment is in Sunset Memorial gardens,
Ionia.  Visitation is one hour prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may
be given to the Hall-Fowler Memorial Library in Ionia or the American Cancer
Society.
