Geraldine M. (Gerry) (Holford) Ashley, 55, of Greenville, formerly of Ionia, 
died Saturday, August 1, 1992 at Greenville.  She was born March 13, 1937 in 
Ionia, the daughter of Gerald and Eva Eddy Holford.  She graduated from Ionia 
High School and had been employed as a nurse’s aide at Greenville Care Center 
for eight years.

Surviving are four daughters, Noranne Harvey, Eva May Monks, Hollyanne Cox, 
all of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Tammy Royal, Florida; two sons, Alfred Earl 
Ashley III of Florida, Tim Ashley, Oklahoma City, Okla.; seven grandchildren; 
a brother, Addy Holford, Kentwood; four half brothers and four half sisters, 
nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Culp.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Meyers Memorial Chapel, Ionia, the 
Rev. Kendall Harger officiating.  Interment is in Easton Cemetery.  Visitation 
at the Maine Street Chapel is today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m.  Memorials 
may be made to the American Cancer Society.
