Durand “Randy” Atkinson, 58, of Orleans, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at the
home of his brother under the loving care of his family and Ionia Area Hospice.
 Randy was born April 2, 1951, in Carson City, the son of Chester and Donna
Flanagan Atkinson.

He graduated from Greenville High School with the Class of 1970.  In earlier
years he had worked as a travel consultant in South Bend, Ind., and later at
Electrolux.  He enjoyed horses, especially the Great Lakes International Draft
Horse Show in Lansing and horse pulls.  Randy will be greatly missed by his
family and many friends.

He is loved and survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Chester and Robin
Atkinson of Orleans, Phil and Jane Atkinson of Fenwick; his nieces and nephews;
and his special friends, Larry, Ginnie, Lauralee, Corrine and Terri.  Randy was
preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will
be 1 p.m. Monday at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Kendall Harger
officiating.  Memorial contributions may be given to your local animal shelter
or the American Cancer Society.  Funeral care and cremation services were
entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
