Clyde L. Atwell, 40, of 121 Donna Drive, died of a heart attack at his home 
Thursday.  A lifelong area resident he was a native of Vermontville and came 
here from Lyons about 16 years ago.  He was a salesman for Peschke Meat Packing 
Company and was a member of the Saranac American Legion Post.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanette; a daughter, Charlene; his mother, Mrs. Sarah 
Reynolds of Grand Ledge; three brothers, Irsil of Denver, Colo.; Claude and 
Douglas both of Grand Ledge; four sisters, Mrs. Janice Wilson of Albuquerque, 
N.M., Mrs. Wilma Baker of Brownsville, Texas, Mrs. Vernal Wo__man of Charlotte 
and Mrs. Lorna Hughes, Grand Ledge.

Services were held Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with burial in the 
Portland Cemetery.  Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the Neller Funeral 
Home.
