Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday June 2, 1949

Lifelong Resident Dies Unexpectedly
Ambrose Augst, 86, Odessa township retired farmer, died unexpectedly at his home 
north east of town Saturday afternoon. He had resided on the same farm for the 
past 81 years coming  here from Hancock, Ohio where he was born March 22, 1863.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs Dorothy Daniels, Lake Odessa, and a son William J. 
of Grand Rapids, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 at the Pickens chapel. Rev. Raymond 
Durkee officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
