Ronald E. (Augie) Augustson, 60, born August 1, 1939, died May 3, 2000.  

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy; one son, Erik (Shannon) 
Augustson of Cooksville, Tenn.; one daughter, Theresa Tuin of Massachusetts; 
his mother, Marion Bohannon of Cooksville, Tenn.; one brother, Larry of Grand 
Haven; three grandchildren, Mary, Gary and Aaron and nieces and nephews.  He 
was preceded in death by his father, Heino Augustson.

Ron worked for many years as a carpenter, then with the Department of 
Corrections for over 20 years. He retired in January 1999 from the Riverside 
Correctional Facility as a transportation officer.  He was a veteran of the U. 
S. Air Force.  He was an old car buff and shared this hobby with family and 
his many friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at the Galilee 
Baptist Church (across from the Saranac High School).  A luncheon will follow 
immediately at the American Legion on Bridge St.  In lieu of flowers, 
donations may go to the M.C.O Crisis Fund and the Jack Harder family of 
Saranac.
