ELIZABETH AUNGST DIED AT LANSING
Mrs. Elizabeth M. Aungst, 64 of Grand Ledge passes away Monday, January 19 at 
St.Lawrence Hospital, Lansing.

She was born in Newark, New York, October 9, 1911, the daughter of Marinus and
Catherine Moes and came with her parents to the Lake Odessa area in 1924 and resided on a farm
in Odessa township.  The family later moved to lake Odessa and Elizabeth had spent all
her married life in Grand Ledge.

She had been employed by Fisher Body Co. in Lansing for 25 years, was a member of
local number 602 of the U.A.W. and a member of the Oneida Gospel Church.

Surviving are two sons, Maynard and Roger both of Grand Ledge; four grandchildren;
one sister, Suzanna Moes of Lake Odessa and a brother, Peter Moes of Lansing. Her
husband, Bona, passed away eight years ago.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., January 21 at the Peters-Murray 
Funeral Home at Grand Ledge. Rev. Floyd Nagel officiated with burial in the Oakwood
Cemetery at Grand Ledge.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the Eaton County cancer
Society.
