The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 8, 1911
Lura Jennie Aungst was born November 1, 1891 in Berlin township.  When 15 
years of age her parents lived on a farm northeast of Lake Odessa.  From that 
time till one year ago she attended school at Lake Odessa.  On November 5, 
1910 she was united in marriage to Mr. Glenn Meyers.  Shortly after, they 
moved to Hastings where she died July 26, 1911.  To this union was born one 
son, Murray Glenn.  She leaves to mourn her loss a father and mother, a sister 
and husband, and one son, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held at the home of her parents in Odessa. Sunday afternoon, 
Rev. Prestidge of Lake Odessa officiating.  Interment was made in Lakeside 
cemetery.  Those who from a distance came to attend the funeral were Mr. and 
Mrs. Hugh Myers and family of Hastings, Mr. and Mrs. Torpy of Saranac, Mr. 
Ernest Aungst and Miss Una Aungst of Galesburg, Mr. Dan Aungst and family of 
Sunfield, Mr. Charles Steele and family of Carlton and Mr. and Mrs. Will Gavit 
of Woodland.
