Elma Austin, aged 94, of Saranac, passed away Jan. 11, 2009.  She was born Dec.
28, 1914 in Clarksville, the daughter of Charles and Caroline (Ellis) Ayers.

She married Berton Austin April 15, 1934 in Saranac.  He preceded her in death
in 1992.  Elma lived in the Saranac/Clarksville area all of her life.  She was a
member of South Boston Bible Church.

Elma is survived by her sons, Charles (Doris) Austin of Saranac and Robert
(Debra) Austin of Saranac; daughter, Katherine (Paul) Monda of Kentwood; 8
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and 4
step-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, 11 a.m. at South Boston
Bible Church with Rev. Ron Tuinstra officiating.  In lieu of flowers you may
make memorial contributions to South Boston Bible Church or Gideons.
