Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 4 Dec 1948

James B. Austin, 64, died at the Ionia County Memorial hospital at 1 a.m.
Saturday after being a patient there only a few hours.  He made his home with
his sister, Mrs. Iva Underhill, 225 Railroad street.

Besides Mrs. Underhill, he leaves another sister, Mrs. Frank Walker, of Saranac
and a brother, Ed. Austin, of Mt. Vernon, Wash.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Myers funeral home.
