Debra Lynne Austin, 52, of Saranac passed away unexpectedly, January 17, 2014 
in Grand Rapids.  She was born January 9, 1962 in Grand Rapids the daughter of 
Donald and Margaret (Bakstrom) Videan Sr.  Debra married Robert L. Austin 
September 10, 1988 in Saranac.  She attended South Boston Church.  Debra was a 
breast cancer survivor and celebrated five years cancer free. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Robert Austin of Saranac; 
parents, Donald and Margaret Videan of Saranac; brother, Donald (Christine) 
Videan of Greenville; sisters, Valarie (Rick) Bruse of Saranac, Judy (Roger) 
Ramirez of Saranac and Jennifer (Joel) Manion of Lowell; grandmother, Florence 
Videan of Ada; brother in law, Charles (Doris) Austin of Saranac; sister in 
law, Katherine (Paul) Monda of Kentwood and many nieces, nephews and great 
nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Russell 
Videan Sr. and Oscar and Lucille Backstrom and mother and father in law, Bert 
and Alma Austin. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 11:00 A.M. at South Boston 
Bible Church with Pastor Ron Tuinstra officiating.  Visitation will be 2 to 4 
p.m.and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday af the Lake Funeral Home of Saranac, and on 
Wednesday one hour prior to services at the church.  Anyone wishing to make 
memorial contributions in Debra's name to Gideons, South Boston Bible Church or 
Breast Cancer.
