                            Mrs. Lowell Austin
ORLEANS- Mrs. Lowell Austin of Morenci, died Saturday, April 7. Funeral 
services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, April 11 with Interment in 
Packard cemetery, Seneca township.

She was born Bertha Grover in Ionia county and spent her early life in 
Orleans and Easton townships. She was married to Lowell Austin of Seneca 
about 53 years ago. Most of their married life was spent there where he was 
a rural mail carrier for many years. Six years ago they moved to Morenci 
where they have resided since.

She was a past chief of Seneca Pythian Sisters and active in the Seneca 
Community church until failing health forced her to retire from civic 
affairs.

Surviving are the husband, two daughter, Mrs. Elmer Borah, Milan and Mrs. 
Russell Sweet of Carson City; as son, Glendon of Waldron; nine 
grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.
