Donald K. Austin aged 71 of Saranac, MI passed away August 2, 2006. He was 
born May 8, 1935 in Saranac, the son of George and Velma (Tapley) Austin.

He married Gloria Straight May 21, 1975 in LeValley Methodist Church. He 
graduated from Saranac High school in 1953.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Gloria Austin of Saranac, 
his mother Velma Austin of Saranac; daughters Vickie and Kevin McGraw of 
Saranac and Karen Johnson of Lowell; son Joseph Champnoise of Wyoming; 
grandchildren Charlie, Kayla and Tracey and great grandchild Brayden.  He was 
preceded in death by his sister Arlene Scofield.

Memorial services will be held Monday 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac 
with Ron Tuinstra officiating. Anyone wishing to make memorial contributions 
to the American Cancer Society or the Saranac Fire Dept.
