Mr. Avery died at Community hospital last Wednesday afternoon at about 1:30 o’clock from his injuries, which were far more serious than were at first thought. Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock Rev. H. E. Curch officiating and burial was made in the old cemetery. Surviving are the widow, two children, father, mother, four brothers and six sisters. According to a Portland paper the driver of the car which knocked Avery’s car off from the road, was entirely to blame and it was only thru his rash carelessness and disregard for the safety of himself and other people on the highway, that the accident happened.
