Funeral services for Bertha Mae Avery, 80, will be at Stone-Kauffman funeral
home at 2 o’clock Wednesday.  The Rev. James Kendall will officiate and
interment will be in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.

Miss Avery was found dead at her apartment at 222 North Dexter street Monday
night.  Coroner Dale Kauffman said death occurred Sunday following a heart attack.

She was born December 29, 1884 in Trowbridge, Allegan county, the daughter of
Albert A. and Mary Avery, and for many years was employed at the former
Stevenson store in Ionia.  She was a member of First Christian church, Bethany
Class circle and State Road club.
