Died November 5, 2023-age 82 of Portland
Born March 1, 1941 in Rummelsburg-Pommern, Germany.
Daughter of August and Anna Galinaitis.
Came to the U.S. in 1952 at age 11.
Married Lyle Avery on August 19, 1961 in Lansing,MI.
Retired from work at Portland Library after 20 years.
Member of Hope Lutheran Church in Portland.
Survived by her husbandLyle L. Avery of Portland, daughters,Christine Ann 
(Steve) May of Portland & Catharine Lynn(Mark) Haworth of Portland.
Grandchildren: Heather (George) Cassel of Portland,Nicole (Josh) Hobson of 
Kentwood, Cameron Simon of Lansing.Michael Haworth of Portland and Matthew 
Haworth of Lansing.
Great-grandchildren:Ava & Chase Cassel & Elliott & Frankie Hobson.
Preceded in death by her parents & brothers Oswald, William & Gustave 
Glainaitis.
Memorial services will be held at Hope Lutheran Church in Portland on Saturday, 
Nov. 16, 2023 at 10:00am.
Pastor AJ Kunde Officiating with a luncheon to follow.
Interment at North Plains Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church in Portland.
