Died – On the 21st inst., of quick consumption, Maggie, only child of Mr. and 
Mrs. Thos. Ayers.  Her sickness was of short duration; and although a great 
sufferer, bore it patiently to the end, putting her entire trust in the Savior.  
Funeral services were held on Friday forenoon from the house, Rev. Judd of Lyons 
officiating and burial made in Keefer cemetery.  She was 13 years of age and a 
bright and lovable girl, respected by all.  The grief-stricken parents have the 
sympathy of the entire community in their great affliction.
