Daily Sentinel-Standard - Monday, March 30, 1942

C. W. Ayers of Boston township died Sunday morning at the Carson City 
hospital, where he was taken Thursday after a three weeks' illness. Born 
September 13, 1880, in Keene township, the son of James and Emma Ayers, he 
had lived his entire life in Ionia county.

He married Carrie Ellis Jaunary 28, 1903.

Surviving are the wife, three daughters, Mrs. Harvey McClure of Detroit, 
Mrs. Burton Austin of Saranac and Mrs. Don Kyser of Detroit; four 
grandchildren, four brothers, Phillip and Jack of Saranac, Cade of Belding 
and Dan of Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Leathers of Toledo, O., Mrs. 
Augusta Cooper and Mrs. Jennie Werner of Belding.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from the home in 
Boston township. Interment will be at South Boston cemetery. Rev. H. L. 
Ellis of Belding will officiate.
