She was born September 30, 1878, the daughter of Burton and Ellen Williams Babcock, in Easton township where she resided until 1934 when she moved to Ionia. She was a charter member of the Stevens Thomson Mason chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of St. John’s Episcopal church. Surviving are a sister, Frances Babcock Sibley of Ionia; a niece, Annie Bell Sibley Drake of Alexandria, Va.; three nephews, Burton, of Minneapolis, Frederick of Detroit and Alex Sibley of Ionia; and a cousin, Judge Lucius Babcock of El Reno, Okla. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal church with the Rev. Fr. Roger Bunday officiating. The body will remain at Myers funeral home until time for the church services. Burial will be at Highland Park cemetery.
