Clifton A. Babcock, aged 58, of Ionia, passed away June 3, 2009.

He was born Dec. 24, 1950 in Ionia, the son of Clifford and Thelma (Nummer) 
Babcock. He married Teri Peterson April 6, 1984 in Ionia. Clifton was a H.O.G 
member and a member of Ionia Moose Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Teri Babcock of Ionia; son Ryan 
Babcock of Ionia; daughters Jessica (Bill) Swain of Ionia and Brandy Babcock 
of Ionia; one granddaughter Kennedi Babcock; brothers Bill Babcock of Arizona 
and Fred (Lori) of Ionia; sisters Linda (Walt) Moore of Ionia, Jan Babcock of 
Ionia and Lorraine Speckin of Ionia; mother-in-law Joan Peterson; brothers-in-
law Kurt (Mary) Peterson of Sidney and Scott (Molly) Petersen of Ionia and 
many nieces and nephews.

Clifton was preceded in death by brother Manly Nummer, sister Pat Nummer, 
father-in-law Herman Peterson, sister-in-law Tami Peterson-Gorman and special 
uncle Jack Balderson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at Shiloh Community 
Church, with Rev Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment at Orleans Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, June 5 4-8 p.m. at Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia. In lieu of flowers you may make memorial contributions 
to Liver Research at University of Michigan or Shiloh Community Church.
