Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. October 9, 1952

FORMER RESIDENT DIED IN BATTLE CREEK
Warren H, Bachelder 79, of Hasting died at Leila hospital, Battle Creek Thursday 
afternoon. A former resident of Lake Odessa and Freeport, he had lived in 
Hastings since 1924. His parents were the late John and Elizabeth (Hennery) 
Bachelder of Carlton twp. He was employed by the E.W. Bliss Co. in Hastings for 
awhile but retired in 1928 because of ill health.

Surviving are his wife Sadie, three sons, John, Arbut and Glenn and a daughter 
Mrs.Richard (Greta) Nixon all of Hastings and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Groff and 
Mrs.Bert Lepard both of Lake Odessa, besides the grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 at the Leonard Funeral Home, Hasting's 
with burial in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa.
