He was born in Orange township August 6, 1905, the son of Myron and Lillian Downing Badder. He attended LeValley school and then made his home on a farm near Clarksville and served with the U.S. Army during World War II, returning to the Ionia area after his discharge. He has lived in Middleton for the past 10 years. Survivors include one son, Stanley of Shepardsville, Kentucky, one brother, Donald Badder of Ionia, two sisters, Mrs. Lula Croel and Mrs. John (Agnes) Kenny of Ionia and three grandchildren. Services are Monday at 11 am from the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Dr. Lloyd G. Walker of LeValley United Methodist church. Burial is in Tuttle cemetery. the family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Saturday 7 to 9 pm and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
