Murl E. Badder, 44, of 633 North street and the father of ten children, died
Sunday morning at the Ionia County Memorial hospital after being confined there
for three weeks.  He had been ill several months.

He was born in Orange township October 10, 1907, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron
Badder.  He attended the LeValley district school.  He was married December 25,
1928 to Mildred E. Minier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Minier of Ionia
township who now reside in Flint.

Except for six months when he lived at Clare, Mr. Badder had been a life-long
resident of Ionia county.  He was employed for several years by the Peschke
Packing company of Ionia.

Funeral services are to be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Myers funeral
home.  Interment will be at Balcom cemetery and the Rev. R. G. Anderson, pastor
of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist church will officiate.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred; three sons in the armed services now home on
furlough, Pvt. Melvin C. stationed in Japan; Cpl. Kenneth B., of Camp Carson,
Colorado; Pvt. Loren D. of Lackland Air base, San Antonio, Texas; six sons at
home, Dale, Daryl, Douglas, Ray, Murl Lee, and Harold; and a daughter Mrs. Ellen
Carter, of Ionia; and a granddaughter, Judith Lynn; his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Myron Badder of Mill street; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Hermans of Lowell, Mrs.
Charles Croel of Lyons and Mrs. Agnes Meisling of Ionia; and three brothers, Ray
Badder of State road, Ionia, Fred Badder of Battle Creek, and Donald Badder of
Ionia.  Two brothers Dale and Marion, preceded him in death.
