Ionia Sentinel Standard, 23 Jul 1932

William S. Badger, a pioneer of Ionia county, died at his home in Beaverton July
18.  Mr. Badger was born in Orange township April 11, 1852, and spent his
boyhood days in that vicinity.  Later he attended school in Ionia and taught
many years in the Ionia county schools.  After the marriage to Miss Nettie Toa,
of Portland, he moved to South Dakota, but later returned to Michigan and
settled on a farm at Beaverton.  He is survived by his wife and five children. 
The funeral services were held at Beaverton, July 21.
