Her father preceded her sixteen years before. She came to Michigan with her parents at the age of eleven years and resided with them on the farm three miles northwest of Lake Odessa. Later she attended high school in Saranac. After this she came to Lake Odessa and was associated in business with her sister, Miss Mae Badger, by whom she will be greatly missed. About 23 years ago she united with the Methodist Church of Lake Odessa, which membership she kept until the time of her death. She was in her usual good health until about a year ago when she began to gradually fail. About ten weeks ago she went to Eaton Rapids where she underwent an operation, but did not restore her health and although everything was done that medical skill could do she gradually grew weaker until the end came last Saturday. She was very patient and courageous during her illness. She was a beautiful character and a kind and loving daughter and sister. She leaves to mourn their loss her mother, Mrs. Sarah J. Badger and four sisters: Mrs. Alvirda Heaton, Miss Mae Badger and Mrs. Ella Steckford of Lake Odessa and Mrs. E. L. Probart of Grand Rapids. She also leaves one brother-in-law, four nieces, two nephews and a host of friends.
