Bailey – At the residence of his son-In-law, H.F. Jones Esp., in Eagle, on the 
16th, inst., James Bailey in the 78th years of his age.  The funeral services 
take place at the Universalist Church this afternoon at 2 o’clock.

James H. Bailey, father of Joseph Bailey, formerly of the Portland Observer, 
died at the home of his son-in-law, Hiram Jones, in Eagle, April 17.

Old Mr. Bailey, father of Mr. Bailey, formerly editor of the Portland Observer, 
died at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. Jones of Eagle.  A host of friends 
deplore the loss and extend their condolence to the bereaved relatives.
