Ionia Standard 9 February 1906
Death released Dr. C.E. Bailey from his long illness and excruciating pain, at 
4:35 o’clock Monday afternoon, at the home on South Jefferson Street.  He was 
aged 54 years and 10 months, and was for many years a resident of Orange, on 
Bellevue road.  His practice was extensive, and a very wide circle of 
acquaintances, to whom he was more than a friend, will learn of his demise 
with genuine sorrow.  Funeral on Thursday, with interment in Balcom cemetery.
