Bailey, 61, route one, Sheridan, died early Sunday morning at the Sheridan Community hospital following an illness of one week. He was born June 30, 1898 in Bushnell township, Montcalm county, the son of Charles and Hattie Brooks Bailey. In 1920 he was married in Ionia to Ruth Perrien. They lived in Ionia until 1942 when they moved to a farm near Sheridan. Mr. Bailey was a farmer and an electrician. He was a member of the Ionia IOOF lodge, and a supervisor of Bushnell township. Besides his wife, Ruth, he is survived by three sons, Donald of Stanton, and Robert and Gordon of Ionia; one daughter, Mrs. Clare (Helen) Wilson of Stanton; his mother, Mrs. Hattie Bailey of Bushnell township; 2 grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Bailey of Greenville, and Roy of Ionia; and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Bennett of Alma, Mrs. Chloe Sherd of Carson City, and Mrs. Cora Flint of California. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Myers funeral home with the Rev. H. S. Ellis of Belding, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Palo cemetery.
