Bailey, 63, of 125 Miller street, South Ionia, died suddenly at his home Sunday, Aug. 12. He was born in Ada May 30, 1887, and at the time of his death was employed at the Ionia Manufacturing company. He was a veteran of World War I, having served with the sixth depot brigade. Surviving are the wife, Edith; three sons, Morris at home, Orlo of Belding and George of Lowell; two daughters, Mrs. Maurice Soules of Belding and Mrs. Charles E. Pung of Ionia; two step-daughters, Mrs. Keith Babcock and Mrs. Wilbur Belson of Battle Creek; 18 grandchildren; and two brothers, Orlo W. and Ray of Belding. Military funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home. Dr. Paul Stewart will officiate. Saranac V.F.W. will conduct the graveside services at Tuttle cemetery.
