Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Mon., Dec 5, 1938
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, December 6, at 2 o'clock at 
the home for John H. Bailey, 85, who died Saturday morning, December 3, at his 
home north of Woodard Lake in Ronald township at 11:20 o'clock.  He had been 
ill and in poor health for a year.  The Rev. George Woolcock, pastor of the 
Ionia Baptist church, will officiate at the services.  Interment will be made 
in the family lot in Woodard Lake cemetery.



He was born at Madoc, Ont., August 10, 1853, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William 
Bailey.  His wife, the former Loretta Wilson died in 1926.  Surviving are three 
children, Mrs. Josephine Knowles of Ionia, Otis Bailey of Ronald township and 
Miss Charmion Bailey at home.  



Mr. Bailey had lived in Ronald township 61 years.
