Esther Lorraine Bailey, 83, of Portland passed away March 26, 2013. She was 
born Nov. 1, 1929 in Portland, the daughter of Charles E. and Crystal M. 
(Albright) Goodwin.

Esther was a graduate of Portland High School Class of 1947. She worked for 
Portland Board of Light and later was an Accounts Executive for the State of 
Michigan until retiring in 1984.

Ester was very active in the Rebeka Lodge in Portland and was a member of the 
Grande Paraders of Lansing. 

She is survived by her Daughter Crystal (Rose) Williams Rux o Lyons; 
grandchildren, Michael Z. Rux of Kalamazoo and Constance (Billy) Rux Garcia of 
California; two great grandchildren, Jackson and Penelope; and sister Eleanore 
Hayes of Carson City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Charles and Harold and one 
sister, Barbara Stohl.

Funeral Services for Esther will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at the 
Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12 noon until 
the time of services.
