Bailey, age 80, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012. He was born on August 21, 1932 in Huntington, West Virginia the son of Delmer and Mabel (Hill) Bailey. Medford was a U.S. Navy Veteran and Life Member of the Portland V.F.W. Post #4090. He was a retired long time contractor. He loved his family, animals, and living and boating on the Grand River. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Donald Bailey; sisters, Donalta Webb and Texa Miller. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Monica; children, Edward (Susan) Bailey, Richard Bailey, and Sandra (Keith) Huhn; grandchildren, Jessie (Brian) Byelich, Luke Bailey, Kelly (Mark) Wooters, and Kyle (Sonja) Huhn; great grandchildren, Kasen and Wren Wooters, Julien Perackis, and Harrison Byelich; brothers, William Boyd (Janet) Bailey and Clarence (Virginia) Bailey. The Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland, with Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Portland, presiding. Interment followed at Danby Township Cemetery, Portland. Military Graveside Honors were conducted by the Portland V.F.W. Post. The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Portland V.F.W. Post #4090.
