March 16, 2018 LOURICE BAILEY, 87 Lourice George Bailey of Ionia, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Lourice was born on July 3, 1930, the daughter of George and Theadora (Ghosn) Berbari. She married Thomas F. Bailey on April 12, 1952, her husband of 55 years. She was an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Church. She loved to be with her family, cooking, dancing, and her faith. Lourice was a classically trained opera singer that retired from singing to start her family, but still loved to sing in the Community Choir and with her family. Lourice is survived by her daughters Laura Christison, Jeanette (Gary Hoffmaster) Bailey, Katie (Phil) Maynard, Michelle (Ronald) Church, Martha Bailey; sons David (Adriana) Bailey and Jon (Rebekah) Bailey; and her 25 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Bernice Berbari, Mary Baltrusaitis, Sally DiMichelle, Wanda Misko; brother Clovis Berbari; and her beloved husband Thomas Bailey. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia following a visitation at the church at 10 am. Rite of Committal will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery at a later date. A luncheon will be held at the Log Cabin inn Banquet Center, 6484 E. Bluewater Highway, Muir, MI, 48860 at 1 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to The Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation, Saints Peter and Paul School, Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, or IM Kids 3rd Meal in memory of Lourice. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Ionia.
