Lake Odessa Times-Thursday May 16, 1907

Mrs.Laura Bailey, an old lady aged about 81 years, who has been cared for by 
members of the German Baptist society for a time and had made her home with John 
Batdorff in this village died Sunday afternoon at the home of Isaac Rairigh. Mr. 
Batdorff had gone to Woodland and had taken Mrs.Bailey  to the home of Mr.Rairigh  
until his return. On Sunday morning  she was taken suddenly ill and died at 4 
o'clock in the afternoon. She has relatives in the vicinity of Lowell. The 
funeral services were held at the German Baptist church Tuesday and interment 
made in Lakeside cemetery.
