Dora M. Bailey, age 92 of Portland, passed away Mon., April 5, 2004. She was 
born on Oct. 5, 1911 in Leon, West Virginia, the daughter of Rawleigh B. and 
Dora F. (Matheny) Sayre. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Portland United 
Methodist Church, the V.F.W. Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary and the Rebekah.  
Dora was an avid bingo and card player, and she enjoyed collecting salt and 
pepper shakers. She was retired from Fisher Body in Lansing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Click; son-in-law, John 
Canterbury; infant daughter Rosalie. Surviving are her daughters, Roma 
(Wheldon) Brown and Nellie Canterbury, both of Portland; daughter-in-law, 
Virginia Click of Portland; seven grandchildren, Kathy (Steve) Gilbert, Ron 
(Pam) Canterbury, Melody (Dan) Schrauben, Troy (Lou Ann) Click, David 
(Jeannine) Brown, Kendra (Steve) Sonday and Melissa (Troy) Shapow; 16 great-
grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother Ralph (Jean) Sayre of New 
Haven, W.V.; sisters Leone Jaques of New Haven, W.V., and Beryl Lawton of 
Tennesee.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Scott K. Otis at 11 a.m. Saturday 
at Portland United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Portland 
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral 
Home in Portland from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. 
For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Portland United 
Methodist Church in memory of Dora M. Bailey.
