Hasting's Reminder - Sat. January 25, 2025

Margot J.(Goodemoot)Bailey, age 87 of Lake Odessa,MI passed away on Friday, 
Jan.17,2025.

Margot was born on February 12th, 1937 in Portland, MI to Francis and Ethel 
(Turner) Goodemoot. On January 18, 1957 she married Don Bailey. She worked for 
many years in the Ionia School Systems as a teacher and later as a substitute. 
Margot was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Lake Odessa where 
she sang for many years as well as belonging to the Lakewood Area Choral 
Society.She was dedicated mother to her children and loving grandmother to her 
grandchildren.

Margot will be lovingly remembered by her children, Doug (Cheryl)Bailey, 
Sally(Michael) Stout and Brent (Terry) Bailey; grandchildren, 
John(Kathy)Bowling, Brooke stout, Andrew Stout, Kristal Schaefer, Sarah 
Schaefer, Christopher Schaefer, Mark Schaefer, Sasha (Omal) Ahmed, Tom (Racheal) 
Teitsma, Bradley Teitsma, Christopher Teitsma, and Gabriel Bailey; many great-
grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; siblings,Carole Reiser, Russ 
(Mo) Goodemoot, and Ronn Goodemoot, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,Don Bailey; granddaughter, 
Amanda Bowling; siblings,Fran Morris and Dennis Goodemoot.

Visitation will be held Tuesday,Jan.28, 2025 at Koops Funeral Chapel,Lake 
Odessa,MI from 11 a.m. until time of funeral at noon. Burial will take place 
immediately following in Lakeside Cemetery next to Don.

Donations in Margot's name can be given to the American Alzheimer's Assoc.
