He was born in Sayerville, Kentucky November 29, 1912, the son of Eastman and June Patrick Bailey and attended schools in Kentucky. He had been a resident of the Clarksville – Lake Odessa area for 40 years. He married the former Mildred Holliday March 31, 1951. She survives. Mr. Bailey owned and operated an onion farm and storage business in the area and was a member of the Lakewood Baptist church. Surviving besides his wife are three son, Gene of Saranac, Joe of Anaheim, California and Ray of Mason; three daughters, Mrs. Imogene Shank of Milford, Mrs. Vonda Chiek of Flint and Brenda at home; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Fisher of Saranac, Mrs. Fannie Cary of Belding and Hazel Oatten of Ionia; and 15 grandchildren. Mr. Adams is at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel until 11 a.m. Wednesday. Services are Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Lakewood Baptist church with Rev. James Leasure officiating.
