Lake Odessa Wave
     GERTRUDE M BAINE 
   LAKE ODESSA - Gertrude M. Baine, 89 of 1008 Lakeview Drive, Lake Odessa, died
Jan. 12 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
   She was born Oct. 22, 1892 in Charlotte, the daughter of Edgar and Electa Smart
Hickox.
   She attended school in Eaton County.  She married Fredric Baine, who preceded her
in death in Nov. 1952.  Mr. Baine was president at Union Bank of Lake Odessa and a partner 
in the Wortley and Baine Funeral Home in Lake Odessa.
   She lived most of her life in the Lake Odessa area.  She was a member of the
Daughters of the American Revolution of Ionia County.
   Surviving are two sons;   Fredric Baine, Jr. of Royal Oak and Larry R. Baine of
Newberry and several nieces and nephews.
   Services were Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake
Odessa, with Canon John Ferguson officiating.  burial was at Lakeside Cemetery.
   Pallbears were Leo Carr, Bud Frost, Duane Gray, Bill French, Forrest Swift and
Keith Haller.
