Wave, Thurs. April 22, 1965 Caroline R. Baitinger Passes Away Mrs. Caroline R. Baitinger, 92, route one, Woodland, passed away early Thursday at the Barry County Medical Facility. She had been a patient there for two years but had been in rest homes and hospitalized since 1939. A native of Germany, she had been a resident of Michigan since nine years of age. She was the widow of Daniel Baitinger, who passed away, April 1, 1905, and had lived on the Woodland township farm for the past 60 years. Mrs. Baitinger was the oldest living member of the Zion Lutheran church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Sarah) Fisher; two sons, Emil J. and Adam F. all of rural Woodland; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Baitinger reposed at the Pickens Funeral Chapel until Thursday forenoon Friday; and then taken to the Zion Lutheran Church where funeral services were held at 2 p.m. with burial in Woodland Memorial cemetery, Rev.
