Clyde l. Baker, 78, former Ionia resident died November 30 in Wenatchee, 
Wash., after a long illness.

Born July 26, 1904 in Orange Township, he was the son of George and Hattie 
Crane Baker.  He made his home in the Ionia area until 1936 when he moved to 
Washington.  He had lived since 1952 in the Quincy, Wash, area and formerly 
was a self-employed concrete-contractor.

Surviving are one son, two daughters, four sisters and one sister-in-law.  A 
brother, Clare, preceded him in death.

Funeral services at Myers-Roetman Funeral Home.  Burial in Palo Cemetery.
