The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, October 6, 1972

Infant John Shayne Baker, 3-months old son of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Baker, died 
at his home Thursday of pneumonia.  He lived on Barnes road, Portland.

Surviving besides the parents are grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Welland W. 
Sprague of Portland, John Baker of Portland and Mrs. Alice Schavey of 
Mulliken; great grandparents, Mrs. Ada Sprague of Traverse City, Mrs. Anton 
Gasperich of Laurium, Mrs. Alice Baker of Portland and Mrs. Edna Hoover of 
Long Beach, Calif.

Funeral services were Friday at 11 a.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland.  
Interment was at Portland cemetery.
